Madrassathul Muhammadiya is an educational institution founded by three noble and generous merchants of Calicut , namely as Kamakkantagath Kunchammed Koya Sahib,Koyappathody Muhammed Kutty Sahib and Haji V Ali Baramy Sahib. The school was opened on 5thoctober 1918 as a middle school with 9 students and 2 teachers. in 1947 the middle school was upgraded to a high school .In 1995 Govt of Kerala was please to sanction a vocational course of two years attached to the high school. The courses are in Refrigeration & Air conditioning and Repair & Maintenance of Domestic Appliances . In 2000 Govt has sanctioned higher secondary courses in three batches (one commerce and two science). The school is now known as M.M Vocational Higher Secondary School and has a strength of more than 3000 students and 135 staff members. At the time when school was founded in 1918 the Muslims of this part of Kerala called as mappilas were in deep superstitions and ignorance and were allergic to modern education. This institution has cradled many students into peak of eminence in the fields of education like medicine, engineering, technology, politics, etc. late P . P Ummer Koya, former education minister Panakkad Muhammedali Shihab Thangal were students of this institution. The school has proud academic achievements in most of the years in its long run of 80 years.

The founders had the forethought and far sight of forming a registered society to run institution even before the school was opened.The society is named as Ansarul Bi Thahaleemul Anam or Muhammaden Educational Association.This association is till maintaining the school and its properties with respect to the sacred aims and objectives and rigid rules and regulations initiated by the founders .The school celebrated its golden jubilee and platinum jubilee with all decorum and dignity. The spirit of the jubilee celebrations gave impetus to the association to celebrate founders day on 5th of october of the year the day on which the school was opened,so that the deathless deeds of the founders may inspire the younger generations and we may lift hands of prayer and tribute to the dear departed founders -the three Murhoom Haji Sahibs.

In order to commemorate the pious and generous efforts of these three founders to uplift the community in all field of life. The association had decided to celebrate the founders day in every 2 years and to give three awards in the name of three great founders.The awards are ,

                     1.To the best social organization.

                     2.to the best social worker.

                     3.the best sports activist.
